In an ongoing series, Rirkrit Tiravanija commissions Thai artists to re-create photographs of political protests published by the International Herald Tribune. The 149 graphite drawings selected for Untitled (Demonstrations) highlight clothing as a vehicle for political expression.

Buenos Aires-born conceptual artist Rirkrit Tiravanija (b. 1961, Argentina) is of Thai descent and is an international nomad, traveling and working between New York, Berlin, and Thailand. Tiravanija explores the social role of the artist through his work by creating interactive conditions for the audience in an attempt to break down the divide between art and life. He is most known for performances and installations that involve cooking and preparing meals for his visitors.
