Originating in found images, Time Horizons depicts an aerial view of an anonymous, semi-rural landscape distilled to color and shape. Its dynamic forced perspective creates an otherworldly impression of distance alongside recognizable signs of human intervention and activity.

Brian Alfred (b. 1974, United States) is a painter living and working in Brooklyn, New York. Alfred received his BFA from Pennsylvania State University and his MFA from Yale University (Connecticut) and studied at Skowhegan School of Sculpture and Painting (Maine). Through paint, collage and digital animation, Alfred investigates technology's effect on how we perceive and understand our physical and cultural surroundings.
