Aside the Mountaintops
399962
Based on several photographs Alfred took while traveling through Japan by train, Aside the Mountaintops was initiated as a large-scale painting that was recreated as a digital drawing. Through flattened planes of vivid color and detailed silhouette, Alfred reduces the landscape to its essential forms for an effect that is both expansive and immediate.
