An experiment in color theory, the blueprint for Photon's abstract pattern was generated by an algorithm written by artist Ann Linn Palm Hansen. Its meticulous grid and vivid geometric shapes were then hand-traced in pencil and painted in gentle sweeps of watercolor.

Artist, designer, and writer Ann Linn Palm Hansen (b. 1984, Denmark) researches and develops color theory. Since graduating from Design Academy Eindhoven in 2012, Palm Hansen has adopted a scientific approach to her creative practice examining shape and color as visual interfaces, first working as part of Jongeriuslab before founding her own studio in 2015. Palm Hansen is interested in information systems and universal forms of language: visual, verbal, and mathematical.
