Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel are the Dutch designers who formed Studio Job (founded 2000) after graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven (the Netherlands) in 1998. Their work explores the macabre, the bizarre, and the everyday, drawing references from the Middle Ages to pop culture, producing art objects characterized by strong narrative and exceptional, ornate execution. In addition to their own studio work, they have completed projects for Swarovski, Rizzoli, Viktor & Rolf, and Royal Tichelaar Makkum.
