Using an austere vocabulary of line and wash rendered in the most basic materials - ink, crayon, or gouache on white paper - Silvia Bachli focuses on the space created within and around a drawing, believing that "good drawings are larger than the format decreed by the edge of the paper." While capturing only the most essential aspects of dried dandelions, Bachli retains their wavering, fragile beauty in Pusteblumen.
