Rana Begum (b. 1977, Bangladesh) is a London-based artist whose work distills spatial and visual experience into ordered form. Characterized by geometry and repetition, color and light, her pieces embrace minimalism and abstraction. Working at the intersection of sculpture, painting, and architecture, Begum often draws upon the urban landscape, as well as traditional Islamic art and design.
